Grange u3a was formed in the Millennium year and our continuing aim is to bring people together who are retired or semi-retired, in our community in social, educational and recreational activities.
We hold a General Meeting on the 3rd Tuesday of each month in the Victoria Hall, Main St, Grange over Sands when members can listen to an invited speaker and meet socially over a coffee and biscuit. See the Events page for details of forthcoming meetings and planned socials.
We publish a quarterly newsletter which is free to members. The newsletter contains recent reports from interest groups, information about forthcoming events and a message from the Chairman which is reproduced as a link below.
We recently celebrated 20 years since our formation and, to mark the event, a humorous celebratory poem was written by Andrew Musgrave. You can find a link to it on YouTube below.
Our annual membership fee is currently £12. Each Group may make a small charge for each meeting in order to cover local costs.
