This group is open to all although some trips may be limited to about 20 people, so register your interest early! The group usually meets on the 2nd Tuesday of the month to visit local places of historical or other interest either by car or public transport. The group has a programme of visits with a different leader from the group co-ordinating each trip and arranging guides in order to share responsibility.
The local explorers are visiting the Keswick Pencil museum on Wednesday September 9th. Our outings are usually on the first Tuesday in the month but occasionally places are closed on Tuesdays. October is a visit to Lancaster Grand theatre and in November it’s planned to visit the Bluewatch hub at Ulverston. Our Christmas lunch on December 8th is at The Grange hotel. Our planning for the year takes place in January at Grange institute so please come along on January 12th at 10 o clock to share ideas.
